Members gain access to a large, collaborative local network consisting of over 140 physicians in the Lubbock area. This network spans primary care alongside a wide range of surgical and diagnostic specialties.
Clinical Autonomy
The association consists of truly independent physicians and receives zero funding from hospitals or corporations. This structure ensures that doctors maintain total control over patient care without corporate interference.

Our Mission
The mission of SWMIPA is to provide a unified alliance of physicians dedicated to the advocacy of physician-patient relationships; to negotiate and manage contracts via messenger-model, and to inform and educate our members regarding changes in the managed care environment.
Through an integrated system of credentialing and quality management, our goal is to effectively communicate with the managed care organizations on our members' behalf, thereby facilitating exceptional medical care at competitive costs and maintaining the physician as the patient advocate at all levels of healthcare delivery.
